What are the top 15 fastest motorcycles in the world? If you’d asked me this question about 15 years ago, maybe I wouldn’t be able to convincingly tell you without looking it up on the sites. But the irresistible dream to own and ride super-fast motorbikes has put me in pole position to answer all the questions you may want to ask concerning the fastest bikes you can find around.
I am not referring to superfast bikes, but I’m talking about the most powerful bikes capable of reaching an unbelievable 300 mph. Thank goodness I didn’t resist the urge because today, I can authoritatively tell you right from the tip of my lips the top 15 fastest motorcycles in the world.
How did I make my selection, you may want to ask? And I will tell you that for any bike to be regarded as fast, it must have high mph. Besides, the engine must boast high performance and be built with incredible power and torque.
I do not know how I feel now if I stay on the saddle and the bike runs at an annoyingly low speed, taking me more than 8 hours to move from Holopaw Groves Roads to Moss Hill Church. That’s a journey that shouldn’t last more than 5 hours.
The list of the world’s top 15 fastest motorbikes helps riders and bike lovers choose the right kind of motorbike that suits their fancy. There’s no doubt that motorbike manufacturers worldwide are making frantic efforts to always reel out the best and most reliable bikes with amazing speed and high engine technology.
As you read this post, it is cheering to hear that the speed of motorbikestoday can be controlledseamlessly via electronic technology. One reason is to ensure that bike riders are protected from avoidable severe accidents.
This is not to say that you won’t find motorcycles with manual speed control. But it is safer to go for the auto-controlled ones. But you can be sure that manufacturers continually design high-speed motorbikes for adults and youngsters.
You may not understand why you need a fast bike until you’re under extremely cold or hot weather or encounter a security threat. Even the thought of driving on potholed motorcycle rides can be frustrating if you’re riding a bike that operates slowly.
1. Dodge Tomahawk – 420 MPH
There’s so much I didn’t know as a biker in my early days. Had I understood them, choosing the Dodge Tomahawk wouldn’t have been an option. In my first experience on the saddle of this sought-after top-rated bike in 2003 when it was launched, I couldn’t resist the temptation of making orders on Amazon.
You may not easily find a car that will keep up with the top speed of 420 mph that the Dodge Tomahawk offers you. The extreme speed rate has made it so that only nine products of this model have been sold out.
Moreover, the Dodge Tomahawk has similar engine power and torque (712Nm at 4200 RPM) to the popular Dodge Viper SRT10. Do you remember that fantastic bike running on an 8.3-liter V10 that can produce a maximum power of 500 HP at 5600 RPM? With an 8277CC 10 valve, this bike has a four-stroke engine and four wheels – two front and two rear wheels. Each of these wheels has its own suspension. The rear of the intake manifold contains the cooling system.
I will take the discussion further so you know why the demand for this bike on the global market has been on the rise. The transmission of the Dodge Tomahawk bike is a two-speed manual toe-shift that utilizes the traditional chain and sprocket system.
You wouldn’t doubt me if I told you that this bike can cover from 0 to 60 mph somewhere between 1.75 – 2.5 seconds. Some crazy bikers even claim Tomahawk can cross 0-60 miles in 1.5 seconds.
- Max power 500 HP at 5600 RPM.

Buying Guide for Fast Motorcycles
Here is the list of the buying considerations when deciding on the fastest bike to buy:
- Engine performance: ensure that the engine does not have a displacement of less than 900cc. As you can see here, all motorbikes on my list have above 900cc engine displacement.
- Speed: Well, when you talk about speed, a motorbike with less than 100 mph may not be, technically speaking, considered as belonging to the fastest class.
- Torque: The maximum torque of the engine too must also be commensurate with the capacity of the engine
- Braking system: usually, the ABS is often recommended. Most of the bikes here operate the ABS brake system.
- Popularity: needless to say that all the motorbikes that make my list are made from tested brands. For your bike to be considered one of the fastest, it must be identified with the known brands. I am not saying you cannot get some fast out there, but the top-class brands always produce the best and fastest.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which bike has the highest CC? Although it may not make the top fastest 15 motorbikes in the world, the Triumph Rocket III has a niche carved specifically for it. A three-cylinder motorcycle built by Triumph Motorcycles Ltd, Triumph Rocket III features 2,294 ccs (140.0 cubic inches), making it the largest-displacement engine of any production motorcycle.
Which is the slowest bike in the world? No other motorcycle takes its place as the world’s slowest bike. You may be the type who doesn’t like biking around on the fast track. If you want to move at a snail’s pace, order ‘fahrradi farfalla FFX.’ It is the world’s slowest bike from Ferrari. ‘Fahrradi’ stands as a German word for bicycle. The name represents what this bike features.
What does CC stand for on a bike? The question shows your novelty in biking or an established biker who doesn’t care about details. Anyways, CC in bikes stands for Cubic Centimeter capacity of your bike’s combustion cylinder. Don’t be scared by all the grammar. CC represents the power of your bike engine. The more CCs, the more power your engine possesses. It also shows your engine has torque when its CC increases.
You also have to note that if the CC of your engine is increased, your bike’s fuel consumption increases as well. The CC could also withstand the displacement of the motorbike, which is often measured in cubic centimeters.
Can I increase the CC of my super-fast bike? Absolutely yes! Increasing the CC of your engine is not criminal; it’s not complex; it’s one of the simplest things to work out on your bike. But it requires both manufacturing and design changes. First, increase the bore and/or stroke of the combustion chamber of your engine.
The next time someone asks you if you want a fast bike, your response should be affirmative. Your desire and joy should be that you’re on a fast bike. But remember that the speed it brings also comes with danger. You must ride cautiously and be safely cautious, especially when you’re on a fast bike. It is exciting to get on them; it also can be disheartening when you have to be banned from using fast bikes because of speeding.
So far, I have listed the top 15 fastest motorbikes you can find out there. There is a caveat: speed and safety can be envious of each other. You must do everything possible to ensure they don’t see each other that way. While you’ll be treated to all the excitement of riding with the thrill of fastness and speed, on-hand raw power, and amazing smoothness of the road, make sure you guard yourself up and protect yourself from dangerous crashes.
Whether you’re stuck in traffic or riding on rides with no traffic doesn’t matter. You cannot wriggle your way out. Superfast bikes are not made to be driven at low speeds. All you need is to wear your complete safety equipment.
There is a limit to the speed you can ride on a certain motorcycle ride. Similarly, there is a general speed limit that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) work with. More importantly, get familiar with the speed requirements specific to your state.
Always remember my recommendation: The safety of other road users is your safety. So, always consider them first each time you have to take any action, whether major or minor, on your fast bike. Always wear your safety gear: helmet, gloves, jacket, etc.
I wish you a safe trip each time you get on your saddle. I love your life, but you should love it more. Stay here with me for the next post.
